Motorola CEO: Apple 'to build a smart phone'

The Motorola CEO, Ed Zander, get some more headlines for his latest comment. While talking to Cnet's News.com he stated that his 'screw the nano' comments were take out of context. This was old hat, but he made a previous statement significantly stronger. When previously asked about an Apple cell phone, he only said all computer companies were looking at voice. In his latest interview, he quite explicitly states this will happen.

"And we know that they are going to build a smart phone--it's only a matter of time."
