Apple creating private iTunes stores for universities

This is pretty interesting, Apple apparently has created a private online iTunes music store for the University of Michigan. UofM states that others are partnering with Apple to do the same thing. I guess in some sense this is their response to Napster licensing music to universities. This also opens up the possibility of others creating branded versions of the iTunes music store instead of setting up their own. Walmart created their own music store, but now say Target could just partner with Apple and create a Target version of the iTunes music store. This also plays into what Cingular was hoping to partner with Apple regarding their music store. If they did this with Cingular, then it would just be a Cingular branded iTunes music store.
