iPod Nano component shortages

Apple had a great quarter but did not meet wall streets expectations. Apple's conference call with financial analysts reveal some interesting problems with the iPod Nano. They shipped 1 million iPod Nanos, but due to unnamed component shortages they have an "enormous backlog" of Nanos. Not only that but Apple is unable to say when they will be able to meet the "staggering" demand for the iPod Nano.
